This year’s Apprenticeships & Training Conference (ATC) was a landmark moment for our sector and for the event itself. With over 1,800 people joining us across two packed days and a stunning Gala Dinner and Awards evening, ATC 2025 was our biggest and boldest edition yet.
Held for the first time at the ACC Liverpool, this year marked a significant shift—not just in location, but in identity. The event transitioned from the Annual Apprenticeship Conference (AAC) to the Apprenticeships & Training Conference (ATC), reflecting the broader, evolving landscape of skills, workforce development, and lifelong learning. It was a change we were excited to make—and the feedback so far suggests it’s one that has resonated with delegates, partners, and exhibitors alike.
Across two days, we delivered an ambitious and engaging programme, featuring:
-
Thought-provoking plenary sessions, with keynote contributions from government ministers, leading thinkers, and sector pioneers
-
Over 80 workshops covering everything from policy updates to practical delivery insight
-
The launch of our Employer Summit, tackling durable skills and workforce transformation
-
A bustling exhibition hall, alive with ideas, solutions, and conversations
-
And of course, the unforgettable Gala Dinner & National Awards Ceremony, where we celebrated excellence in apprenticeships and training across the UK
There were challenges too. As with any new venue, a few snags emerged—catering quality being the most discussed. We’ve already begun discussions with the venue to ensure improvements are made for next year.
But what stood out most was the sense of energy and shared purpose. Whether catching up with colleagues over coffee, listening to powerful insights in a keynote, or watching attendees’ reactions as they entered the beautifully set Gala Dinner, it was clear that ATC matters. It brings people together. It helps move the conversation forward.
As we begin to shape ATC 2026, we do so with renewed momentum and ambition. Thank you to everyone who attended, contributed, and supported this year’s event.
