Owen O’Kane will open Day One of ATC 2026 with a keynote designed to equip delegates with the clarity, confidence and psychological grounding needed to thrive in a fast-changing world. A leading psychotherapist, bestselling author and expert from the BBC series Change Your Mind, Change Your Life, Owen brings more than twenty-five years of experience across mental and physical health, from palliative care to his role as NHS Clinical Lead for West London Mental Health.
His keynote, Coping with Change in a New World: The Power of Adaptability and a Flexible Mindset, will explore why life and work can feel challenging, and how understanding the science of stress, resilience, and mindset can help us respond more effectively. Drawing on clinical insight and real-world experience with global organisations, Owen will unpack the pressures commonly felt in workplaces, including burnout and imposter syndrome, and explain how flexible thinking can transform both personal well-being and professional performance.
The session moves from self-awareness to collective responsibility, offering practical micro tools and clear psychological strategies that attendees can use immediately. Owen’s approach helps individuals take ownership of their mindset while also strengthening their capacity to support those they lead, teach or guide. His work resonates with audiences across the world, reflected in the international success of his Sunday Times bestselling books and endorsements from well-known public figures.
Owen’s contribution to Day One promises to be an energising and empowering session, setting the tone for a programme focused on growth, resilience and the future of learning and development.
