Sam McAlister is a BAFTA-nominated interview producer and senior fellow at the London School of Economics, renowned for securing some of the most high-profile and exclusive interviews of our time. With a decade at the BBC’s Newsnight, Sam’s career boasts interviews with figures ranging from HRH Prince Andrew to Sheryl Sandberg and Elon Musk.
Her deep expertise in negotiation and media strategy is underpinned by her journey from criminal defence barrister to a celebrated public speaker. In 2022, Sam published the critically acclaimed book Scoops: Behind the Scenes of the BBC’s Most Shocking Interviews, which has since inspired a Channel 4 documentary and an upcoming Netflix adaptation, where she is portrayed by Billie Piper.
Sam’s unique insights into leadership, reputation, and communication will add a fascinating dimension to the evening, making this networking reception an unmissable part of the conference.
