Comedian, actor and one of the UK’s most trusted and beloved presenters, Joel Dommett, will host the 2027 Apprenticeship and Training Awards.
The awards ceremony will take place on 2 March 2027 at the Liverpool Experience Campus (LEX), bringing together leading employers, training providers and individuals from across the country to celebrate excellence in apprenticeships, training and workforce development.
Known for his infectious energy, quick wit and warmth, Joel is the perfect host for an evening dedicated to recognising the people and organisations transforming lives through learning and skills.
Celebrating ten years of impact
Now in their tenth year, the prestigious Apprenticeship and Training Awards recognise the organisations and individuals helping to create a highly skilled, inclusive and future-ready workforce through their commitment to apprenticeships and wider training and development.
Originally launched in 2017 as the AAC Apprenticeship Awards, the awards have grown significantly in both scale and ambition. More than 700 nominations were received in 2026, demonstrating the extraordinary breadth of talent, innovation and dedication across the sector.
Relaunched as the Apprenticeship and Training Awards in 2024, the programme reflects the wider priorities of today’s skills landscape and the growing importance of lifelong learning and workforce development.
The 2027 awards will celebrate outstanding achievement across the sector, shining a spotlight on those setting new standards, widening access to opportunity and delivering lasting impact for learners, employers and communities.
A landmark celebration for national finalists
National finalists will be invited to attend an exclusive parliamentary reception as well as the Awards Ceremony in Liverpool, making the Apprenticeship and Training Awards one of the highest-profile events in the apprenticeships and training calendar.
With Joel Dommett leading the celebrations, the tenth-anniversary ceremony promises to be an unforgettable occasion.
