We are delighted to announce that Rory Sutherland, Vice Chairman of Ogilvy and behavioural science pioneer, will join us as a keynote speaker on Day Two of the Apprenticeships and Training Conference (ATC) 2025.
Rory brings with him decades of experience in advertising, marketing, and branding, along with a unique perspective on how small contextual changes can have an enormous impact on consumer behaviour. As the co-founder of Ogilvy’s behavioural science practice, Rory works with a team of psychology graduates to uncover ‘unseen opportunities’ in consumer behaviour—unexpected tweaks that can dramatically transform decision-making processes. For example, Rory has previously tripled the sales rate of a call centre by making just a few subtle adjustments to the call script.
Beyond his work in behavioural science, Rory has held a variety of influential roles throughout his career, including President of the IPA, Chair of the Direct Jury at Cannes, and speaker at TED Global. His thought-provoking approach to behavioural science, along with his insight into customer perception and decision-making, has made him a highly sought-after speaker across the corporate world.
In addition to his work with Ogilvy, Rory is a regular columnist for publications such as The Spectator and Market Leader, and the author of three books, including the best-seller Alchemy: The Surprising Power of Ideas That Don’t Make Sense. His latest release, Transport for Humans, co-written with Pete Dyson, delves into the behavioural science behind transport systems.
Rory’s fascinating approach to marketing, behavioural science, and human decision-making will no doubt offer invaluable insights for delegates at ATC 2025. Whether you’re involved in apprenticeships, training, or business strategy, this keynote promises to inspire new ways of thinking about consumer behaviour and the power of perception.
We’re incredibly excited to welcome Rory Sutherland to the stage on Day Two of ATC 2025, and we know this session will be one of the highlights of the conference. Don’t miss out on the chance to learn from one of the most brilliant minds in marketing and behavioural science!
